Enjoy a seamless safari-transfer experience from Sri Lanka’s southern wilderness to the misty mountains of Ohiya.

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup and transfer to Lunugamwehera National Park, a wildlife-rich reserve connected to the greater Yala ecosystem. The park is renowned for its large elephant population, crocodiles, spotted deer, water buffalo, and numerous resident and migratory bird species. Unlike busier parks, Lunugamwehera offers a quieter and more natural safari experience.

Travel through remote forest tracks in an open-top safari jeep while experienced guides help you discover the park’s diverse wildlife and ecosystems. Elephant sightings are common, particularly near reservoirs and grassland areas.

Following the safari, continue through scenic countryside, tea plantations, waterfalls, and mountain roads as you climb toward Ohiya, one of Sri Lanka’s highest railway villages and the gateway to Horton Plains National Park.
